A new ODR partnership
With a long history of developing some of the world’s leading family separation platforms (including the Rechtwijzer in The Netherlands and amica in Australia) ODR.com and Portable are excited to work together to offer the most advanced, flexible, and configurable divorce and separation system ever built. They are now looking for international partners to implement the solution in countries around the world.
Bringing family law technology around the world
The first initiative will see the platform rolling out in Ecuador, in conjunction with the National Law Centre and the Inter-American Development Bank.
Portable and ODR.com have long pioneered the use of ODR and family law applications to allow people to amicably separate themselves, finalise parenting orders and property settlements. Portable is recognised as a world leader in best practice legal design and implementation, and the ODR.com team has designed and implemented hundreds of dispute resolution processes for companies (like eBay and PayPal), nonprofits (like the IMF and Red Cross), and courts. The combination of their expertise uniquely places DivorceODR.com to be able to respond to these needs on a global level.
Divorce and separation is never an easy process, but it is omnipresent in every culture around the world. Too often divorce leads to conflict, anger, and recriminations, which harms the mental health of the couple involved, as well as traumatising children. This conflict can undermine trust between co-parents, which makes the post-separation process even harder.
